Stage one (upper chamber filter) ceramic with an absolute pore size of 0.2 microns. Stage two (lower chamber filter) consists of four stages of natural earth elements which include layers of activated carbon, zeolites, silica sand, and ion exchange resin which are highly effective in the removal of chlorine, bad odors and tastes, and other compounds.
